Baby's Badass Burgers, genuine LA Food PR0N! - A 1UP classic from August 26, 2011

Hello friends, it looks like this was a bad week to start up the community challenge. We’ve had a lot on our collective minds with Deuce Ex 3 out and dare I speak too early of Game of the Year? Not to mention plenty of the community members are up at PAX. So how about we push things back on the Community Challenge another week?

Not to leave you without some news this weekend I did want to mention something great food in the LA area, I dare to say that it qualifies for genuine Food Pr0n!

Food trucks are big in LA, the more unique the better. Sometimes it doesn't hurt to do one thing well all while having a gimmick. In this case it's a big pink truck that belongs to Baby's Badass Burgers. They make amazing burgers and were voted by the Food Network as the best burgers in LA during an episode of Food Wars.

The former landlords of our work building had sold the property to new owners and to say thanks for being such good tenants they hired the truck to come down and give us free burgers for lunch. I tried the "All American Girl" which was their traditional cheeseburger as well as the "Other Woman" which was a blue cheese and grilled onion specialty. Both burgers boasted a half-pound of the freshest beef ever. Would I say they were the best burgers I've ever had? It wouldn’t be so hard to say these were. Mind you I've had burgers all over the city as well as in Orange County, the only one that came close was the burger at Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel.

If you ever visit Downtown LA and are on the lookout for an amazing burger then make sure you keep Baby's Badass Burgers in mind. They are on Twitter like the other great food trucks that make the city their home. Have a great weekend and hello to my friends at PAX!
